Sugar Crash is a one-minute animated short inspired by classic gag cartoons, following a robot’s increasingly desperate attempt to retrieve a candy bar from a vending machine. I wrote, storyboarded, animated, rendered, and sound-designed the film, using physical comedy and timing to transform a simple objective into a fun, tragic finish. I leveraged the limitations of my main character’s acting, which emphasizes his cuteness and determination. Sugar Crash was officially selected for the Voronezh Animation Film Festival.
